( )

It is quite a wonderful day here at MC i must admit. The sun is shining the birds are singing and there is a slight breeze. I love days like these although at the same time they make me miss the coast. This time last year i would be getting out of school at 11 30 grabbing something to eat then hopping in the truck with some friends and heading to the beach or the river. Skim boarding or kayaking the afternoon away until it was time to go home for supper. It seems i took the coast for granted while i was there, as i am now landlocked up in Clinton. Spring Break is only two weeks away now though and although i know i will spend most of it working i am hoping to spend a significant amount of time on the beach(hopefully a parent funded trip to Florida as well?... who knows though)

I have a speeding ticket i have to pay by today and the place i need to call is not answering the phone so i dont know how much the ticket will be yet so i guess i need to get on that.

Somewhere Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace

Busy busy week this past week. So much going on that i didnt get to give everything as much time as it deserved. Bombed a biology quiz thanks to me jerk of a professor that started the quiz before class started. I walked in class at 11 59 to find that the quiz had begun and the class was already on #6 of 11 questions, needless to say i failed the quiz. That night i went to a Greek restaurant called Kiefers(i think i spelled it wrong?) with Randa and some of her friends and it was pretty great food. Afterwards we went to club fire to see hinder in concert.(My ticket would have been $10 cheaper if Mom would give me Owen's ID back) It was a great concert though and i really did enjoy myself. I called callie, my little sister, when Lips of an Angel came on but i am not sure how good it sounded on her end it was awesome on my end. Friday afternoon i headed up to MSU we somewhat went out friday night but we were in by 12 and the next morning we were going to go to the game but didnt on account of our failure to find lee a student id and jonathan's loss of his card. We hung out for the rest of the day went and ate abners then headed back home. I am not in the dorm with nothing to do. We played some soccer in the hall and wrestled around some but we all wanna go out.. Too bad there isnt anywhere to go lol... but we'll see what we can find.. i am out.. PEACE

"feels like a friday night but its only tuesday* afternoon"

Went to owen's game last night at Tougaloo to witness an embarrassing defeat. Owen didnt play too well and ended up rolling his ankle near the end of a hopeless game. I blame his performance on the guards, they seemed to constantly be jacking up three's while they completely neglected the post until late in the game. Lee and Randa came along with me and to Canes afterward. I was then kept up way past the time i got in bed by a noisy 3rd floor.... gotta love dorm life... I ended up only going to one class today, this was the first time i had missed class this year and i dont plan to make it a habit but i really felt i deserved some rest. My name was signed on both roles though. I am now on the brink of starting my homework but like any other time i sit down at my computer i start to browse the worldwide web... facebook being a regular on my hit list and i figured that writing a blog would be much more fun than doing personal fiance thus here i am.... Things have been going pretty fast lately and with things moving quickly i seem to be making mistakes.. some subtle and insignificant, others more important. It seems that a past persons trespasses against me in my life are affecting my life regarding another person making me reluctant to put myself out there.. Not exactly fair to this person but i cant really help it.. i am not a very open person so i think that's as deep as i ll venture into the topic.. Intramural game tonight at 9 hopefully i ll have some time to workout afterward as well.. but its time to get back to the grind and beat my schoolwork into submission.. PEACE and here is a pick of the way we have the beds set up for madre.. and a sexy truck for everyone else

15. Last Blog-A-Roo

I am at this point writing my last blog, and I must admit it is quite a joyful entry. If you have read any of my previous blogs you have noticed my overall distaste for this assignment and my anticipation for this assignment to end. I do however believe that this assignment was a effective, no matter how much i disliked it. I am actually thinking about continuing writing a blog on my own after this class is over. It will be quite a bit more enjoyable without set criteria and a Sunday due dates. I do wish i had been more open and worked a harder on my blogs. Every blog i wrote was written on Sunday afternoon after 2 pm which is not very effective for producing a great blog. I am happy with my blogs though and glad to have this assignment over with.

12. Thank Goodness For Thanksgiving

Just when i thought i had enough of school and couldn't take anymore Thanksgiving break came along to give me a much needed vacation from the stress of 8 am classes and homework. I traveled to Arkansas for my thanksgiving to my grandparent's house where i was able to see all of my family except one cousin who was sick. It was the first time in a while that all 5 of the children in my family managed to make it up there. I also got to see my aunt Mary which was very enjoyable since i haven't seen her in quite awhile and i think she enjoyed seeing us as well. I was also able to hunt which i haven't done recently. I did come up empty handed searching for that elusive buck, but my 16 year old sister killed her first deer. We were all proud although she claims it is her first and last deer. The highlight was of course the food and fellowship of thanksgiving dinner. I certainly realized how blessed i was to have such a great family full of loving people. (and a family full of such great cooks). After thanksgiving i then drove down to long beach and had a great weekend hanging out with friends and just relaxing. Now i suppose its back to the grindstone. Time to prepare for exams and the end of the semester, only two more weeks though. I am hoping they will fly by just like this semester has. In close i hope all had a great Thanksgiving and that they realized how blessed we all are.

10. Winter Memories and Hope

The cold weather is here and with it many fond memories and also a sense of anticipation for the making of new memories. I am myself more of a summer person but it always seems that the most fond memories and the best remembered are made in this time. I seem to catch myself recalling times from high school sitting around a fire on a cold winter night after a football game drinking root beer, of course, enjoying each others company. I have to say that I have found that i miss this. College brings all sorts of new good times and experiences but as of now i dont have really close friends here like i did at home. I know that in time they will come but i still miss the old times in high school when everything was so easy. Also this time of the year is joyful in that it is the coming of basketball season. My brother and i have been playing basketball for most of our lives and this time of year always seemed to bring us closer together.(even if fights did sometimes ensue on the court) Only being two years apart we had the gift of being able to play on the same teams and his senior year i was is substitute when ever he needed a breather. I never have been as good as him partly since i am only 6 foot 4 and he is 6 foot 8 ( i have beat him in a 1 on 1 game once in my life which he of course claimed a cheated). Back to the point though this time of year makes me miss him more then ever. My brother and i are pretty close and now that i am here at MC and he is at Spring Hill we dont get to see each other much being as we both still play basketball this time of the year is very hectic. Which is why i am so very much looking forward to Thanksgiving break. It will give me a chance to see him and hopefully we can both bag a buck over the break and hopefully mine will be bigger. I guess the point of this blog is to explain why i love this time of year so much and to explain to myself why i have been homesick lately which i usualy never am. All in all i just suppose i am ready for this semester to end so i can go home to all my family and friends and be able to catch up and share our many experiences from our first venture out into the world.
